G2: FAQ: OEM Parts Guide
Where to buy OEM parts
Aside from the sources shown here, genuine OEM parts can sometimes be purchased from local parts stores (AutoZone, Advance, O'Reilly, etc) or online sources (RockAuto, AutoHausAZ). Getting OEM parts from those places is not guaranteed though. The original manufacturer is not known for every part, and sometimes a brand name that one person buys and confirms is OEM (they occasionally even come in Honda OEM packaging) will change suppliers and the next person to buy that part from the same source gets a Chinese knock-off. The only place that you can get 100% genuine Honda OEM parts is from suppliers like those listed below.
New OEM Parts
Many dealers offer online catalogs with greater discounts (often significantly greater) than you can get at your local dealers.
- Delray Acura (Delray Beach, FL)
- Showcase Honda (Phoenix, AZ)
- Bernardi Acura (Brighton, MA)
- Acura Of Peoria (Peoria, AZ)
- Acura Of Augusta (Augusta, GA)
- Acura Of Augusta does not have an online catalog, but they are a recommended source of many forum members.
- Findlay Acura (Henderson, NV)
These are other OEM parts suppliers that are not affiliated with any local Honda or Acura dealerships.
- Honda Parts Now
- Acura Parts Now
- Acura Parts Warehouse
Used OEM Parts
The cheapest parts can be found at your local junkyards or used parts dealers. At a junkyard, you find and pull the parts yourself. Prices are typically the cheapest you'll find anywhere. Check your phone book to find local junkyards. Used parts dealers do the work themselves and charge more for it. You can find local used parts dealers using the search form at Car-Part.com.
And don't forget to check the Marketplace section of the forum for other members selling parts, or parting out entire cars.
